The older Opels are General Motors: ID40 and ID46 transponders on HU43, HU46 and HU100 blades, with PCF7941 and PCF7946 remotes on the Astra H and Corsa D. After the sale to PSA the new models switched to Stellantis electronics, closer to a Peugeot than to an old Astra. We carry both sets of tooling.
Programming happens over OBD with brand-specific equipment. On many models we can add a key without the original, and where every key is gone we erase the old set and code a new one.

No, and this is where most quotes go wrong. A Corsa D is GM electronics on HU100; the current Corsa is Stellantis. Different key, different procedure.
Usually the buttons or the cell rather than the transponder. If the car still starts on the same key, the chip is fine and it is a repair, not a replacement.
